Instructed in use of Vasotec to help control high blood
pressure.
Instructed in use of Verapamil, to help regulate heartbeat, prevent chest pain, and reduce blood
pressure.
Instructed in use of Lopressor, to control high blood
pressure.
Instructed in possible adverse reactions to Lopressor, including fatigue, lethargy, dizziness, low heart rate, low blood
pressure, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, rash, and fever.
Instructed patient about Avandia. This is an oral antidiabetic used to decrease blood
sugar levels. Avandia is used in DM type II , alone or in combination of other oral antidiabetic drugs.
Instructed in use of Procardia to control chest pain and high blood
pressure.
SN instructed patient and caregiver that Plavix is used to prevent heart attacks and strokes in persons with heart disease, recent stroke and/or blood
circulation disease (peripheral vascular disease). Easy bleeding/bruising, stomach upset/pain, diarrhea, and constipation may occur.
Taught that Labetalol slows the heartbeat, lowers blood
pressure and reduces strain on the heart.
Taught that Labetalol works by blocking the effect of certain natural chemicals on the heart and blood
vessels.
Taught that Labetalol is used with or without other medications to treat high blood
pressure (hypertension).
