SN instructed patient about Aggrenox contains a combination of aspirin and dipyridamole. Aspirin is in a group of drugs called salicylates. It works by reducing substances in the body that cause pain, fever, and inflammation. Dipyridamole keeps platelets in your blood
from sticking together to form clots. Aggrenox is used to reduce the risk of stroke in people who have had blood
clots or a "mini-stroke" (also called a transient ischemic attack or TIA).Avoid drinking alcohol while you are taking aspirin products. Alcohol may increase your risk of stomach bleeding. Side effects include joint pain, drowsiness, headache, upset stomach, mild heartburn, nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea.
Patient was instructed about Taztia ( Diltiazem ), it belongs to a group of drugs called calcium channel blockers. It works by relaxing the muscles of your heart and blood
vessels. It is used to treat hypertension (high blood
pressure), angina (chest pain), and certain heart rhythm disorders. Possible SE/AR may include, dizziness. When you sit or lie down for a while, get up slowly to allow your body to adjust and minimize dizziness. Also may also experience bloating, heartburn, muscle cramps, headache, flushing, nasal congestion, sore throat, constipation or diarrhea. Inform your doctor if they become bothersome. Notify your doctor if you develop, breathing difficulties, swelling of the hands or feet, an irregular heartbeat.
SN instructed patient's CG about Quetiapine (Seroquel), it is an atypical antipsychotic approved for the treatment of schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and along with an antidepressant to treat major depressive disorder. Possible SE/AR may include, dry mouth, dizziness, headache, somnolence. Some common adverse effects, high blood
pressure, orthostatic hypotension, high pulse rate, high blood
cholesterol, elevated serum triglycerides, abdominal pain, constipation, increased appetite, vomiting, among others.
SN instructed patient that Zocor( Simvastatin) reduces levels of "bad" cholesterol (low-density lipoprotein, or LDL) and triglycerides in the blood
, while increasing levels of "good" cholesterol (high-density lipoprotein, or HDL). Zocor is used to lower cholesterol and triglycerides in the blood
. It is also used to lower the risk of stroke, heart attack, and other heart complications in people with diabetes, coronary heart disease, or other risk factors.
SN advised patient don't rub the injection site. This could cause bruising. Don't push air bubbles out of the syringe unless your doctor tells you to. Each syringe comes with air bubbles. Call 911 anytime you think you may need emergency care. For example, call if: You cough up blood

SN instructed in possible adverse reactions to Lasix, including dehydration, orthostatic hypotension, loss of potassium and other electrolytes, weakness, and fatigue. Lasix is used to reduce extra fluid in the body (edema) caused by conditions such as heart failure, liver disease, and kidney disease. This can lessen symptoms such as shortness of breath and swelling in your arms, legs, and abdomen. This drug is also used to treat high blood
pressure. Lowering high blood
pressure helps prevent strokes, heart attacks, and kidney problems. Lasix is a "water pill" (diuretic) that causes you to make more urine. This helps your body get rid of extra water and salt.

SN instructed patient / caregiver regarding medication Benicar. Explained that this medication is a blood
pressure lowering medication. Explained that the side effects includes hypotension ( low blood
pressure ), dizziness, fatigue, headache and /or diarrhea. SN instructed patient / caregiver to notify physician ( MD ) if experiencing persistence or worsening of side effects.
