Instructed patient the following is a list of preventive measures that may help to avoid some problems: Make sure the trach is getting enough humidity. Humidity will keep the mucus loose and decrease the chances of a mucus plug. If you hear a whistling sound from the trach, this might mean that the airway is dry. Always make sure the trach ties are securely fastened and are tight enough around the neck.

Instructed patient the following is a list of preventive measures that may help to avoid some problems: Make sure that the trach is open to air and that nothing is blocking it such as clothing or bedding. Always have a child nap or sleep with their apnea monitor or pulse oximeter on. Do not discontinue their use unless discussed with your ENT doctor.

SN advised patient don't rub the injection site. This could cause bruising. Don't push air bubbles out of the syringe unless your doctor tells you to. Each syringe comes with air bubbles. Call 911 anytime you think you may need emergency care. For example, call if: You cough up blood.You vomit blood or what looks like coffee grounds.You pass maroon or very bloody stools.

 irregular heart beat, faintness, and weakness. Replace butter and margarine with 
heart-healthy oils such as olive oil and canola oil. Other heart-healthy foods include walnuts, fatty fish like salmon and tuna, 
whole-grain breads, low-fat dairy products, beans, and lean meats. Ask your caregiver how much salt you can eat each day. Avoid salt substitutes.

also can reduce your risk of heart disease. Stop your activity if you feel short of breath, dizzy, or have any pain in your chest. Do not do any activity
 or exercise that causes pulling or pain across your chest, (such as using a rowing machine, twisting, or lifting weights.

 likely to worsen quickly. Walking, and other types of physical activity help maintain your strength and improve your 
mood. Physical activity also helps you manage your weight. Eat heart-healthy foods and limit sodium (salt An easy way to 
do this is to eat more fresh fruits and vegetables and fewer canned and processed foods.
