Patient was instructed on Osteoporosis. Healthy eating can actually help you lower your risk for disease. To prevent disease it is recommend eating lots of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and low-fat or nonfat dairy products and limiting foods high
in salt, saturated fat, trans fat, cholesterol, and added sugar.
Instructed on some factors that may increase the risk of developing/exacerbating Osteoporosis, such as: high
intake of caffeine and certain medications, among others.
Instructed on the importance of exercising regularly, as directed by MD, as a measure aimed to developing high
-density bones.
Instructed on the importance of eating a well-balanced diet, high
in calcium, protein and vitamin D as a measure aimed to managing/controlling Osteoporosis.
