SN instructed patient and caregiver that smoking causes can
cer, heart disease, stroke, lung diseases, diabetes, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), which
includes emphysema and chronic bronchitis. Smoking also increases risk for tuberculosis, certain eye diseases, and problems of the immune system, including
rheumatoid arthritis. It is very important for you to quit smoking to prevent chances of getting any or all of the diseases.
Instructed in complication of diarrhea such as dehydration, electrolyte imbalance or anal excoriation. Dehydration is indicated by dry mouth, poor skin tugor, dry, flushed skin, decreased urine output, sunken eyes
and weak, rapid pulse.

Patient was instructed about protection against the swine flu. Wash your hands often with soap and water, especially after you cough or sneeze. Alcohol-based hands cleaners are also effective. Avoid touching your eyes
, nose or mouth. Germs spread that way.
Patient was instructed on symptoms of leg edema. If having leg edema feet and legs will initially appear swollen as the day progresses. After a period of time, however, the swelling will set in first thing in the morning and worsen throughout the day. Over time other symptoms will develop: High blood pressure, headaches, increased urination, palpitations, swollen hands and/or wrists, puffy eyes
, weight gain.
Patient was instructed on breathing methods. Breathe properly. Lie down on a rug or blanket on the floor with the legs straight and slightly apart, the toes pointed comfortably outwards, arms at the sides not touching the body, the palms up, and the eyes
closed. This is called a "relaxed body" position. Take time to relax the body and breathe freely.
Patient was instructed on hand-eye coordination description. Vision is the process of understanding what is seen by the eyes
. It involves more than simple visual acuity (ability to distinguish fine details). Vision also involves fixation and eye movement abilities, accommodation (focusing) convergence (eye aiming) binocularity (eye teaming) and the control of hand-eye coordination.
Patient was instructed on hand-eye coordination description. Most hand movements require visual input to be carried out effectively in conjunction with fine motors skills. Fine motors skills are involved in the control of small muscles movements, such as using fingers with a purpose and in coordination with the eyes

Taught that Crestor may cause highly unlikely but very serious side effects, such as: yellowing eyes
and skin, dark urine, stomach/abdominal pain, severe nausea, vomiting and/or fatigue.
