Infection
SN instructed that should be call your doctor right away if you notice any of the following signs and symptoms of an infection: Fever ( this is sometimes the only sign of an infection ), chills and sweats, change in cough or a new cough, sore throat or new mouth sore, shortness of breath, nasal congestion, stiff neck, burning or pain with urination, unusual vaginal discharge or irritation, increased urination, redness, soreness, or swelling in any area, including surgical wounds and ports, diarrhea, vomiting, pain in the abdomen or rectum, new onset of pain.
Instructed patient about infection, which is the invasion and multiplication of microorganisms in body tissues.
Patient educated that there is good and bad bacteria in our body’s and the ABT will kill both which result in the yeast infection. Yeast infection is identify by area is likely an area that is moist it is red and has raised pumps. Patient instructed on possible yeast infections related to long term use of ABT, in areas that include but is not limited to between legs, under breast, and in between groin. Patient instructed to report any symptoms to MD or SN during visit.
Instructed patient that if the infection persists and spreads it can progress to an acute or chronic disease.
Instructed patient about infections are commonly produced by bacterias or viruses. Once diagnosed most infections can be treated with antibiotics.
